I am a personal trainer with over 8 years experience that is continuously learning and adapting. I love fitness because it can mean something different to every individual. This allows for new and exciting training methods that allow for each client to find their niche and push themselves while having fun doing it. My goal as a trainer is not only to help people change their physical condition for the better but to help people begin to change the way they view themselves to allow for long-term personal growth. I want to put you in a position where you are getting healthier and enjoying yourself while reaching your personal fitness goals. Wellness is the state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort. Together we will put in the time and effort to put you in a state of long-term overall wellness.
I adopted a vegan diet in December of 2007 and it has allowed me to increase my athletic performance and overall health. My background as an athlete is in soccer, distance running, and obstacle races, including the Warrior Dash, Muddy Buddy, Tough Mudder and World's Toughest Mudder. I have seven years of experience coaching young adults at the high school level with girls/boys soccer, boys golf and football.
After having children and living and loving the dad life, I allowed myself to slide in terms of fitness and nutrition. I gained 25 lbs. over the course of 3 years from doing little to no activity as well as consuming any and all food I saw fit. My 4 yr. old daughter asked me one day if I had a baby in my belly and that was a line in the sand, so you could say. Over a 6 month time span I got back to what I know with consistent, daily movement and focused nutrition. As a result I am back to my 2014 weight and feeling great.
Point being, at any point we can choose to make our health and fitness a priority!
